Instant Eyedropper

Replicating specific colors manually is almost impossible, but you can use eyedropper tools to create perfect clones of any colors. All image processors come with eyedropper tools, but it isn't so comfortable to launch a program each time you need to save a color. This is where Instant Eyedropper comes in. This lightweight application works in the system tray and you just need to click its icon when you need to copy a color from your screen.

Instant Eyedropper is freeware and it can be installed in a few seconds. It works on Windows NT and any later edition, up to Windows 7. It does not have any significant impact on a computer's performance, so you can run it even on obsolete machines.

While Instant Eyedropper is running, you must click its system tray icon and keep the mouse button pressed. The mouse cursor will change into a crosshairs, which you may drag over a desired color. When a color is targeted, you may release the mouse button and the color's code will be copied to the clipboard.

The crosshairs is accompanied by a zoom tool, which makes it much easier to select a specific color. Furthermore, the selected color's code is displayed at all times, next to the zoom tool. The application is capable of capturing a color's code in HTML, Hex, Delphi and VB Hex, RGB and HSB format. You can right click the system tray icon and select the format you need.

A general settings menu can be accessed via the same system tray icon. Besides setting the application to launch automatically at system startup, you can also set it to display a notification when a color's code is copied to the clipboard, select a different resolution for the zoom tool and choose an HTML color format.
